These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the macOS application "stac" (the "App") provided by Masayuki Kobayashi (the "Provider"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (License)
The Provider grants the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App in accordance with these Terms. The license may be used only by the purchaser and on up to two Macs.
Article 2 (Prohibited acts)
Users must not engage in the following acts.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App
- Copying, reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the App
- Circumventing or tampering with license activation
- Lending or transferring the App to a third party
- Using the App for purposes that violate laws or public order and morals
Article 3 (Paid plans and payment)
Purchases of Pro plans are made through the payment service designated by the Provider. A license is issued once payment is completed. Because the product is digital content, returns or refunds for customer convenience are generally not accepted. Duplicate charges or payment issues will be handled individually.
Yearly plans renew automatically on the contract renewal date. Cancellation can be handled from the account page or contact form. Pro features remain available until the end of the current subscription period after cancellation.
Founding Supporter, Early Supporter, and Launch Offer are limited prices for early purchasers and supporters of stac Pro. Founding Supporter and Early Supporter switch to the next price when the combined purchase count of lifetime and yearly plans reaches each limit. Launch Offer is available for 14 days from the official release date, after which Standard pricing applies.
Because pricing tiers switch automatically, the displayed price may vary depending on timing. Please confirm the final amount shown on the checkout page. The product name shown on the checkout page may differ from the tier name on the pricing page, but the displayed amount and purchased license content apply.
Yearly plans continue renewing at the tier price at which they were purchased. If a user cancels and subscribes again later, the price available at that time applies. Lifetime plans allow continued use of Pro features with a single purchase. If future functions are provided as a separate product or separate license, separate terms may apply.
Article 4 (Updates and function changes)
The Provider may add, change, or remove App functions without prior notice. If a significant function is removed, the Provider will try to provide notice in advance where reasonably possible.
Article 5 (Disclaimer)
The App is provided on an "as is" basis. The Provider is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App, including loss of data or interruption of business.
The App supports font previewing and organization. It does not guarantee whether a font may be used commercially, whether its license is valid for a given use, or whether it is suitable for a user's legal or contractual needs. Users must confirm applicable license terms with the font distributor or seller.
Article 6 (Intellectual property)
All copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights relating to the App and its contents belong to the Provider.
Article 7 (Termination of service)
The Provider may discontinue the App due to unavoidable circumstances. If this happens, the Provider will try to give advance notice where reasonably possible.
Article 8 (Changes to these Terms)
The Provider may revise these Terms when necessary. Revised Terms become effective when posted on the website.
Article 9 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Provider's location.
